Operating between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, the speedy service has become popular among regular commuters between the two cities.

The bus office at Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi introduced the new line on Sunday.

Named ‘X90’, it operates from Abu Dhabi between 4:30am and 12 midnight every half hour, said a customer care executive at DoT’s call centre.

From Al Ain, it also operates between 4.30am and 12 midnight, every half hour, between the two cities. The Abu Dhabi–Al Ain service has only one stop in between at Al Khatem. The ticket to Al Khatem costs Dh8.

The new service replaced the previous bus service over Eid, named 700, which had multiple stops between the two cities. More info

I am a daily traveller ( i work in alain and stay in AUH) and till today i have not reached 2hrs earlier. In some cases its 2 hrs and when its going for refueling at the remah petrol station it takes 2 hrs 30 minutes. The Stop at Al kathem is useless as hardly anybody gets out or even gets in , a 10 minutes time is wasted jsut enterning al Khatem instead passengers can just be dropped of at the main road ( like before), And with the schools reopening the taffic after 8 am in Al Ain is bad. Hope the DOT Does something about this. Donot mind paying the extra 5 Dhs. if the service is good
